Action! is the Total Foundation’s global employee volunteer program. Under the Action! program, Total provides every employee the time and resources needed to contribute to the development of their host region. All Total employees, no matter where in the world, can donate up to three working days a year to support local initiatives.

ACTION! IN DENMARK

For Total employees in Denmark, Action! volunteering assignments must take place in either the greater Copenhagen or greater Esbjerg areas. With a special focus on young people, the Total Foundation’s four priority action areas are: road safety, forests and climate, youth inclusion and education, and cultural dialogue and heritage. Typically, Action! volunteers collaborate with partner organizations to work on these focus areas.

Employees can work with partner organizations in three different ways:

  • Being a helping hand- these are assignments with no direct link to the volunteer’s professional expertise
  • Providing skills- these are assignments that use the volunteer’s professional skills
  • Mentoring- these are recurring assignments that support young, socially disadvantaged people

Engaging in and giving back to our local host communities is important to Total. Action! is one of the steps we are taking to reach our overarching ambition of becoming the responsible energy major.
