In 2014 the Danish Underground Consortium committed 1 billion DKK fund The Danish Hydrocarbon Research and Technology Center (DHRTC) for a ten-year period.

In cross-disciplinary partnerships with foreign institutions and private enterprises DHRTC develops new technologies for recovering a larger proportion of Denmark's oil and gas from the North Sea.

Better energy solutions

DHRTC is a global center and offers researchers access to important data and knowledge about the oil fields in the North Sea. Research programs are orchestrated from the center in partnership with research groups from our partner institutions.

The aim is to demonstrate increased oil and gas recovery equivalent to 100 million barrels of oil in 2020.
