HEADING FOR GOALS: A CSR INITIATIVE
Total is working hard to build closer ties to the communities in which we live and work. To accomplish this, we continuously strengthen community-building dialogue both internally within Total and with society at large. That’s why we have a longstanding tradition of actively engaging in our host communities around the world.
HEADING MENTAL HEALTH
Part of Total’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitment is to invest in young people’s social and mental well-being. We’re proud to team up with The Social Network (Det Sociale Netværk) to drive the Heading for Goals initiative (Brug Bolden). Run by Headspace, a mental well-being counselling service in Denmark focusing on 13 to 18-year-olds, the Heading for Goals initiative works to empower youngsters by playing football. The initiative not only provides resources for players, coaches and parents, but also provides a framework to get rid of the stigma of mental health in football and supports young players to express their problems.
INTEGRATING SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Total undertakes a number of initiatives, and through the Total Foundation, we support four CSR areas that align with our ambition of becoming The Responsible Energy Major:
- Youth inclusion and education
- Road safety
- Forests and climate
- Cultural dialogue and heritage.
